Sign up for Saturday, October 17 "No Kings"
The Do Justice ministry of Lakewood UCC is participating in the No Kings VOTE Event on Saturday, October 17, encouraging eligible voters to VOTE EARLY. We will meet up with Lakewood Indivisible and other Lakewood community members at the corner of West Alameda and South Wadsworth from 10:00 am to noon. We will rally there with our signs and ballots to encourage all to vote, vote early, and use the ballot drop boxes. Then we will walk as a Lakewood UCC community the 1/2 mile to the ballot box at Belmar Library with our signs. If you are a Jeffco resident, bring your completed ballot so you may deposit it in the drop box. If you would like to drop your ballot with the group but can’t walk the 1/2 mile up and back down Wadsworth, you may meet us at the Belmar Library where there are designated accessible parking spots right in front of the library. We are encouraging participants to view a Know Your Rights training in advance of the rally and march and will provide information on that shortly. Our meeting place is at the southeast corner of S. Wadsworth and W. Alameda where Best Buy is.
The event in Golden meets at Washington Ave near 10th Street at 2:00 pm.
